Christopher Alexander discusses these lectures when interviewed by Stephen Grabow, and recalls: “I gave the course with Sim Van der Ryn and the way we ran it was we posed ten questions and then each week we would give two lectures –in one lecture I would answer the question and in another he would answer the question. So we were actually operating in parallel. The only agreement between us was that we were talking on the same questions and used the same reading list.”.
