The Boston Architectural Center organized the first conference on the use and impact of the computer on architectural design and the architectural and engineering professions, under the title “Architecture and the Computer”. Christopher Alexander gave a speech on “A Much Asked Question about Computers and Design”, included in “Architecture and the Computer; Proceedings of the First Boston Architectural Center Conference”. Among its participants were the architects Walter Gropius and Serge Chermayeff.
