197-page report presenting an evaluation of a policy developed gradually since 1968 by the Ministry of Equipment called ‘models’, which promoted social housing. The first three chapters analyze and present the methodology, the adopted research plan, the approved draft models and a brief history of French social housing prior to 1968. Finally, the fourth chapter is devoted to a counter-proposal developed by Christopher Alexander to compensate for certain shortcomings and respond to the criticisms of the first chapters.
