The first sketch establishes in a simple and straightforward way the entire top of the ridge as a large whole, by introducing the cup-shaped plan of the Library opposite from the Judo Hall; the relationship between these two centers, energized by the cup-shape of the Library give structure to the College precinct; the second sketch details the Library, as it was to be built.
