Furniture Design and Fabrication

Fall 1981

The design studio assignment was the fabrication of furniture, avoiding design in hardline dimensioned drawings. Sketches and models were encouraged. The students used the wood workshop of the department to make the pieces of furniture for the studio assignments. The first piece was a stool which each student had to fabricate, and the second piece an individual choice by each student.
