Building Process Area of Emphasis: Intergrated Design Studio: Two Projects in Japan & Furniture Making

Spring 1994

The design studio assignments included the design of two buildings in Tokyo. The first was a small apartment building in the central area of Shinjuku, and the second an office and apartment building in the western part of Tokyo. The design of both projects took into account the Japanese mixed use housing patterns found in dense urban Tokyo, which focus on the materials used as well as on the cultural design aspects for apartments.
