Building Process Area of Emphasis: Beautiful Apartment Buildings

Spring 1995

The undergraduate design studio addressed the problem in the production of contemporary apartment buildings, in which there is a sharp division between design and construction. This division produces apartment houses which do not have graceful adaptation, richness and warmth typical of traditional buildings and therefore, are lacking to a high degree the feeling of “belonging” and “ownership”.
