C.E.S. Office – Martinez House: Ornamental concrete layer on the exterior wall envelope – Photographs

01/01/1984
Focus on Details

Six photographs of the ornamental concrete horizontal layers, just below the concrete roof cornice, forming intricate detailing on the edges of the sprayed concrete layers, all painted in white.

Photograph:

  • 1) Ornamental concrete layer, forming a transition zone between the column and wall surfaces, and the cornice above
  • 2) The same detail seen in a wider context of building elements
  • 3) The same detail encountered in an external corner of the building
  • 4) The same detail adjusted to the existing window
  • 5) The same detail blown up, at the meeting point of two house volumes built at different levels; the roof shade is cast on them
  • 6) The same detail spanning between two columns with a window in the middle
