Planned Development of Sixty-five Low Cost Houses
1990 to 1994Proposal for a new community of 200 people in a thirty acre site in Podunk, New York, near Ithaca, a traditional small town where houses to middle and low income families could be provided at a price that ordinary people can afford. One of the essential features of the project was an innovative financing program, which avoids up-front financing and allows the families to avoid high mortgage costs, by introducing a growth sequence for the individual house. .
