Eleventh Vincent Scully Prize
05/11/2009The Vincent Scully Prize recognized Alexander’s seminal books such as ‘A Pattern Language’ and ‘The Nature of Order: An Essay on the Art of Building and The Nature of the Universe’ as well as his efforts toward inspiring students to be more thoughtful design practitioners. Alexander was unable to attend the prize ceremony; thus, Randy Schmidt, vice president of the Center for Environmental Structure delivered Alexander’s 15 minutes presentation with slides of projects and artworks.
