International glass event in the city of Leerdam, in which a number of artists, designers, and architects were invited to make an installation in Fort Asperen, based on the cultural meaning of an everyday object: the drinking glass. After the symposium all participants received a commission for either a new design for drinking glasses or an installation in Fort Asperen in mid-May 1997.
