The objective of the smposium was to further the purposes of New Urbanism though a critique of position and achievements. During the two-and-a-half day symposium a jury of established scholars critiqued and discussed projects, the Charter and the Lexicon. Christopher Alexander participated in the symposium as a member of the jury.
