It further continues with what are the processes which generate spatial relational structures –or otherwise patterns, and disscusses the purely functional approach, the approach based on rules and cultural regulations, and the approach based on pictures in people’s heads, providing examples for each case. It concludes with the idea that the environment is generated by a language of patterns.
