Work of Art for Project, Office Furniture Prototype
The Low Bookcase, a simple elegant piece of furniture, was designed to be used as a divider within a room or to line a wall or finally as a built-in element within a thick wall. Available in five different lengths, ranging from a minimum of four feet to a maximum of eight feet, is finished in acrylic laquer in a range of colors. It has a wide top with upstand on three sides, three drawers, and fixed shelves made-to-order. Furniture prototype incorporated in the Center for Environmental Structure office, was further developed for the Herman Miller New Office Furniture System. A paper model of the low bookcase was exhibited in "Designed in California - Rise of the User" on March 2018 in the San Fransisco MOMA, together with other model pieces, a setup for the personal office.
