Eight sketches depicting a step-by-step process followed by twelve families for the formation of the common land in a cluster of houses.
Drawing:
- 1st step - Recording existing conditions on site
- 2nd step - Position and extent of common land and main paths connecting it to existing houses
- 3rd step - Adding volumes, porches, garden walls, etc. to start shaping paths and common land area
- 4th step - Continuing along the same line, paying attention to the space of the open spaces, the paths, and individual lots
- 5th step - Focus on the shape and edges of the commomn land; trees, low structures, pergolas are added
- 6th step - Final shape and articulation of the common land and smooth continuity with adjacent path and structures
- 7th step - Final repairs and improvements in shapes of open spaces, gardens, volumes and transitions
- 8th step - Finalizing common land and the twelve surrounding properties
