The remaining eight sketches depict the seven steps of the cluster layout process, each one focusing on the implementation of a couple of patterns and their interaction, for the formation of positive space. The sequence of steps is the following: Layout process Step-1 applies patterns “Cell Gateway” and “Degrees of Publicness”; Layout process Step-2 applies patterns “Common Land”, “Path Crossroads” & “Tiny Parking Lots”; Layout process Step-3 applies pattern “Sandbox”; Layout process Step-4 applies pattern “Individual Lots”; Layout process Step-5 applies patterns “Tree Places”, “Outdoor Seats”, & “Public Outdoor Room”; Layout process Step-6 applies pattern “Centripetal Pedestrian Path”; Layout process Step-7 applies patterns “Private Terraces” & “Opening to the Street”.
